Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo

Hiroshige’s *100 Famous Views of Edo* feat. Takashi Murakami at the Brooklyn Museum presents the museum’s complete set of 119 Hiroshige prints, shown alongside mid-19th-century Edo–period objects and paintings by Murakami. The prints are arranged seasonally around the gallery, with extended label rails emphasizing the series’ linear progression and cyclical rhythm. Three custom structures were introduced to display Edo-period objects in settings evoking a shop and a picnic, drawing on architectural details found in Hiroshige’s prints.
